MHIA’s Supply Chain Execution Systems (SCE) Group Presents at NA 2010

Attendees will be able to answer the question, “Do I need a WMS, WCS or Both?”

SALT LAKE CITY-April 16, 2010- Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) emerged 25 years ago to bridge the gap between higher-level information systems including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and the warehouse floor by allocating, balancing, managing and monitoring tasks executed by disparate automated material handling equipment and subsystems in real time. In the past few years, however, WCS have begun to play a larger role in order fulfillment and labor and warehouse management; and, the distinction between them and traditional WMS has begun to blur.

On April 27, MHIA's Supply Chain Execution & Technologies Group will lead a seminar to objectively contrast the features, functions and advantages of WCS and WMS to enable attendees to make informed decisions on the best solution(s) for their specific requirements.

Session attendees will gain a clear understanding of WCS and WMS functional differentiators and discover a methodology for assessing the best system solution or combination of solutions for warehouse control and management requirements.

The session begins at 12:45 in Theater B and will run for 45 minutes, which includes time for questions.  The three presenting member companies include Daifuku America Corporation, Intelligrated, and Tech King Operations.
