Daifuku Continues to Rank as a Leading Material Handling System Supplier

13th Annual Survey

SALT LAKE CITY-July 1, 2010-Over the past 11 years, Daifuku has consistently ranked a top material handling system supplier by Modern Materials Handling magazine.  This year, is no exception.  Despite a decline in growth rate and revenue for most ranking companies in the 2009 13th annual survey, Daifuku retains its number two position.  This is the fifth year in a row Daifuku has held this rank.

To qualify for the list in 2009, companies had to report worldwide revenue of at least $140 million.  For this time period, Daifuku reported revenue of $1.76 billion.

To be considered for the Top 20 list, companies must manufacture at least two major handling system components including: transportation devices, storage and staging equipment, picking units, sortation systems, information management systems, data capturing technology, and other types of handling equipment.  Companies must also employ full-time staff that designs, installs, integrates, and implements their own materials handling systems.
