Sorting & Picking Systems

Whether deployed in a manual or fully-automated operation, Daifuku’s sorting and picking systems enable electronic communication to workers or equipment regarding the location and amount of inventory to be distributed or stored. For workers, lights are lit at particular points on a shelving system indicating the location of the item to be picked and a number is displayed providing direction of the quantity specified on the order. Pick-to-light systems are generally applied to carousels, flow rack, and shelving storage applications. For automated systems, software programs and RF signals communicate to equipment the locations of items and quantities to be sorted.
